On Tuesday this week, the Year 2 graduation ceremony was a joyous celebration of our pupils’ achievements and memories from Key Stage 1. The event was filled with music, laughter and heartfelt moments, marking a significant milestone for these young learners.
The ceremony began with a beautiful rendition of songs that captured the spirit and journey of the pupils. Their performance of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana set an inspiring tone, showcasing their enthusiasm and dreams for the future. This was followed by a touching performance of “The Climb,” reminding everyone of the challenges overcome and the growth experienced over the past years. The energy picked up with “I’m Still Standing,” highlighting the resilience and strength of the pupils, and culminated with “We’re All In This Together,” a fitting tribute to the sense of community and camaraderie developed among the pupils.
One of the most heartwarming segments of the ceremony was when the pupils shared their favourite memories from Key Stage 1. They recalled exciting trips, engaging visitors, and special occasions that made their early school years unforgettable. Stories of the annual Summer Fair brought smiles and laughter, as pupils reminisced about the fun games and treats. The Christmas nativity performance was another cherished memory, with many recounting the joy of dressing up and performing for their families and friends.
As the ceremony progressed, each pupil was called to the stage to receive their graduation scrolls. The room filled with loud applause and cheers, celebrating each child’s hard work and accomplishments. The pride was palpable, with staff and parents beaming with joy and admiration for their young graduates.
The ceremony was a beautiful tribute to our pupils’ achievements and the strong support system that helped them reach this milestone. It was a day of celebration, reflection and anticipation for the wonderful things to come as the pupils continue their educational journey in Key Stage 2!
