We have had a very busy week in Year 2! In our English lessons, we have been learning about current affairs and in particular the COP26 conference in Glasgow. We learned that world leaders and advisors are meeting to talk about issues like global warming and climate change. In our lessons, we planned and discussed ideas about how we could tackle issues such as burning too many fossil fuels, deforestation and methane gas pollution. We presented our ideas in front of the class and today we wrote our own persuasive speeches in the style of Greta Thunberg to convince people to take action.
