In today’s Religion lesson, Year 2 learned about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. In his letter to the Galatians, St. Paul lists them as: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). These fruits are gifts from the Holy Spirit and reveal what God is like. The children participated in paired discussion as to how they live by and show various traits of the fruits. They then recorded their ideas in their books and made a lovely display for our class R.E. board!
In Maths this week, the children have been exploring mass. They used balance scales at the beginning of the week to develop their mathematical vocabulary and can confidently identify when objects are heavier than, lighter than or equal to one another. They also looked at weighing scales and used these to read mass in grams (g) at intervals of 10, 5 and 2.
