What a wonderful day we have had in Year 2! This morning, the children wrote letters to King Charles III wishing him all the best for his coronation tomorrow in Westminster Abbey. Yesterday, they discussed what things they might see so we all gathered key words to include in our writing today. There were some amazing suggestions such as: orb and sceptre, golden carriage, jewels, throne, archbishop and many many more! Later in the day, the children were lucky enough to take part in the sponsored bounce on the bouncy castle. They had lots of fun jumping around! Thank you to the PFA for organising this as well as the parents, relatives and friends who donated money.
Finally, in the afternoon, the children and teachers enjoyed a lovely picnic in the playground. Luckily the weather was nice and sunny so the children could enjoy their sandwiches and ice-cream! We hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing bank holiday weekend!
