This week we have been learning all about children’s mental health. This year’s theme was ‘Growing Together’. We suggested ways in which we can help each other grow. We also learned that some challenges and setbacks can actually help us to grow and adapt. New things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential.
In the afternoon we had another ‘Caritas in Action’ lesson. This time the theme was ‘Rights & Responsibilities’. We learned that everyone has the right to food, health care, housing, education and employment. We know that we all need to strive to secure and respect these rights for others both locally and globally. In groups, we had to decide if statements were either a right or a responsibility.
Year 2 have worked amazingly well over the past weeks so without a doubt you all deserve a relaxing and enjoyable half-term holiday!
Have fun and stay safe,
Mr. Drumm & Miss Clarke
