On Thursday this week, we celebrated World Book Day 2023. It was a fun-filled day! We came to school in our pyjamas and comfy clothes so we could snuggle up with our books. There were lots of fun activities throughout the day such as making bookmarks, book covers, completing book reviews, word searches and to top it all off there was a quiz at the end of the day. Teams were made up of a child from each year group from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 so teamwork was absolutely essential. Year 2 were very confident in answering questions about books they have read so far this year such as ‘The Bog Baby’, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘A River’. The children also designed some wooden spoons to look like characters from their favourite book. We were amazed by their creative designs!
