For our Maths lessons this week, we have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We have looked into the differences and similarities, the names of different shapes and we have been sorting the shapes into different categories!
In English, we have begun writing instructions which included imperative verbs (bossy verbs) and time connectives, we looked at creating instructions for a recipe on biscuit making. As we approach Christmas, we also wanted to get our letters to Santa ready which allowed us to recap things such as: capital letters, full stops, sentence structure and handwriting. We then visited our local post box and sent our letters off to Reindeer Land!
In Geography, we have explored the four different points of a compass. We used North, South, East and West to navigate our groups around the playground. We also thought of a way to remember the order of the points using: Never Eat Shredded Wheat.
