‘BEST DAY EVER!!’ a quote said by many Year 1 children when we took a visit to London Zoo!
In Geography, we’ve been studying animals and their habitats, while in Science we’ve been exploring animals in more detail, including whether they are vertebrates or invertebrates. Our trip to the zoo made for an excellent trip to combine our learning but also have a lot of fun along the way!
We also had a very exciting Science Day! We had to experiment with two different biscuits to find out which one would be the best biscuit for dunking! We found out that the digestive crumbled far too quickly and agreed we preferred the chocolate biscuit for dunking!!
Then, we explore our DNA! We used charcoal to create our fingerprints and identified that none of our fingerprints are the same, we are all different!
Finally, we all had a curly war bar and our job was to see who could stretch it the longest! We discussed the different push and pull motions and agreed we would be using a pull motion for this activity! Thank you to Mr Hogan for organising such a fun day learning all about Science!!
