This week, for our Caritas lesson we have explored: Dignity of Workers. This prompted some interesting discussions and thoughts! We discussed how Dignity of Workers means being treated fairly and how God wants everyone to feel love and respected. We also discovered that some people don’t get enough money for the work they do. This is not fair and foods with the Fairtrade sticker on them mean that the people who made the food were given a fair amount of money. The children then drew what they wanted to be when they were older and discussed the importance of Dignity at work.
In Art, we sketched our ideas for a 3D animal and labelled the key features. We had to think about how our animal would move and what it would look like. We then brought it to life using junk modelling! We joined pieces of recycled materials together to make our creations!
