Year 1 have been taking inspiration from the drop in temperature (and the little glimpse of snow we got) this week by creating some winter art. The children used a range of medium to create different pieces representing trees at winter. Orange class used masking tape to create their tree silhouette and then painted over this using different shades of blue. They then peeled away the tape to reveal beautiful trees in wintry sky. Amber class used chalk to create their own snowy scenes practising a variety of different strokes and using techniques such as blending. We will be displaying our artwork for all to see and I’m sure you will be very impressed with the budding artist we have amongst us.
