This week in Nursery, to continue our ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ story topic, we have been tasting porridge. This was a great opportunity to choose toppings and share what we like and don’t like with our friends using descriptive language like ‘gooey’, ‘slimey’, ‘runny’, ‘sweet’. ‘delicious’ and ‘lumpy’. We also designed and made booby traps to protect the bears house using our language to explain the processes involved and the choice of materials. As there was interest in our class on the subject of tree houses we made our own tree houses as alternative housing so the bears could escape Goldilocks. Great thinking Nursery!
In contrast to this, as part of our Religion learning, we visited our School Chapel to experience and talk about how people pray and talk to god.
