This week in nursery we have introduced the story of Goldilocks and the three bears and the children have really engaged with the story. They have been acting it out using props and talking about quantity and size. We have also been playing with and tasting porridge and talking about our own preferences. Our nursery rhyme of the week has been ‘Five little men in a flying saucer’ and the topic of space has really fired the children’s imaginations. We acted out the song and talked about the solar system, with children making their own planets or space themed artwork. The small world area has also been constantly busy with children exploring the space theme. We have also started doing helicopter stories where the child tells a story and then we act it out on the carpet. They are having lots of fun with this.
