Wow! What an incredible first week Year 1 have had! They have transitioned from reception so well and adapted to their new surroundings incredibly. In numeracy, they counted forwards and backwards up to 20. In literacy, the children began their new class book, Major Glad, Major Dizzy’ while also writing an unaided piece of work. They also started their Science topic work on ‘Who am I’ looking at some of their body parts. The Year One teachers are delighted with the effort made throughout the first week and are looking forward to the rest of the year!
