We hope you have all had a fantastic summer and are ready to tackle Year 6 life. We have a busy but exciting year ahead and we can’t wait to watch the children thrive in the coming academic year.
Already, one week into the year, the children are demonstrating high levels of maturity and are acting as fantastic role models for the younger children in the school. Keep it up!
In their first week in Year 6 the children have been writing letters to introduce themselves to their new teachers; letting them know about their hopes and dreams and how they would change the world for the better. Mr Groarke and Mr Prescott were very impressed with how socially responsible their new recruits are – there’s hope for the world yet!
On top of this, the children explored the importance of a systematic approach in Maths and to end the week they began their music lessons with Mr. De Almeida.
We’ve also given out awards to Amber and India (Stars of the Week) and Ondine and Anabella (Dojo Award Winners) – well done girls. Come on boys!
Phew! What a week!
