Autumn 2 has commenced and the children have made a wonderful start!
This week, Year 6 have been learning all about the Jewish faith in our Religion lessons, as the school celebrated ‘Judaism week.’
On Tuesday, the children learned about the Rosh Hashanah celebration which is followed by ten days of repentance. This allowed our children to reflect on their own actions inside and outside of school, as well as how their actions can impact those around them. There was a clear understanding that such reflection truly allows us to grow and develop as human beings and Christians. It really was fantastic to see how enthusiastic the children were about learning about the faiths of others, as well as showing maturity towards others’ beliefs.
Reflection will also be at the forefront of Amethyst Class’ minds on Thursday, when they will partake in their Prayer Service. All parents/carers/relatives are welcome.
Reminder: Wednesday 7th November – Isle of Wight meeting in the KS2 hall at 14:30.
