We were extremely excited to welcome back the children to School after such a long time. We have been very impressed with how well they have settled back in and are already producing some amazing learning. Our new topic is ‘Down on the Farm’. We talked about different animals we might see on the farm and the children experienced what it would be like to milk a cow using some make shift udders! We also created farm animals and farm pictures using elastic bands! In RE, we learnt about lent, a time to prepare for Easter and think about others instead of ourselves. In Ruby Class, we thought about other children around the world that were not as lucky as ourselves to have so many nice resources, so we decided to sacrifice Lego for lent. We said ‘Goodbye’ to the Lego and will look forward to getting it back at Easter! We also learnt about the story of Jesus’ Temptation and used role play to retell the story. What a fantastic but busy week! We wish you all a wonderful mother’s day on Sunday…Be sure to check your child’s book bag for a surprise!
