This week in the Little Gem Class we celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making our own pancakes and choosing our toppings. We joined our whole school pancake race and the little gems ran with their buddies from year 6, each having a chance to represent their house. If this wasn’t enough excitement, on Thursday it was World Book Day and we all dressed up as characters from our favourite books. This led to a wonderful and animated class discussion about their choice of costume. It was really hard to choose a winner for ‘best costume’ award as everyone made a huge effort.
