We were very lucky in Year 1 to have a Vet visiting us along with her dog! The children had the chance to stroke and interact with the dog and role play how to meet and dog and it’s owner.
The children also learnt about how to keep pets safe, where they live and how to help them safely!
The children also got the opportunity to fix up and put bandages onto a unwell dog, with this they also used syringes to pretend that they were feeding the sick dog. In the case it was too ill and would have to have liquid food.
Thanks so much to Bethany’s mum for making this happen! It was great to have you. It tied it so well with our Science topic of Animals and Humans.
