This week in Year 2 we focused on number and place value in Maths. We learnt how to partition two-digit and three-digit numbers and how to read and write numbers in words and numerals.
In Topic we began learning about the Great Fire of London. We used atlases to locate London in the United Kingdom. We also looked at the location of the other countries and capital cities of the U.K.
In Science we went on a material hunt as a launch for our topic. We found lots of different materials in the classroom, playground and woodland area.
Thank you to all the parents for the fabulous costumes on Roald Dahl Day. We had great fun dressing up and telling our friends about our favourite characters!
