Two weeks ago, we joined with our year 5 buddies to begin the Daily Mile. We prepared ourselves by stretching and then set off around the playground to do as many laps as we could. Many of the reception children wore their year 5 buddy out!! Since then, each day we have headed out to the KS1 playground to see how many laps we can do. The children love to seek a challenge and try to see if they can do more than the class record. The current class records are 12 for Ruby class and 11 for Red class. A whole mile is 20 laps around the playground, what a challenge to aim for!
