Year 2 have returned this week from a relaxing half term of no zoom calls or Seesaw! The children are feeling refreshed and ready to conquer our last 2 weeks of remote learning! We arrived back with a variety of creative projects the children completed for their St Josephs work over the half term, here are just a few examples of the amazing work we saw:
This week we began a new topic In maths, exploring money! The children enjoyed understanding the different amounts and counting in pounds and pence! We also extended our knowledge in our topic learning, discovering new information about the beautiful Taj Mahal. Did you know it took 20,000 workers and 12 years to build the magnificent mausoleum which means tomb!
We ended a wonderful week of learning with some beautiful religion work, the children created their own Lenten prayers, including some things they are thinking about giving up for lent or something they are going to do like spreading love and happiness and even helping with house chores, which I am sure parents will be delighted to hear!
The countdown is now on Year 2! Not long until we are back in the classroom all together, seeing our friends and continuing our brilliant work! Just 1 more week of fantastic remote learning to go!
