This week in Nursery we have been exploring the story of ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas. Inspired by the story, we have talked about how different colours make us feel and have created our own large group artworks based on the emotions inspired by different music. Bach’s ‘Air on a G-string made us feel calm and happy whereas ‘The dance of the Knights’ by Prokofiev made us feel scared, angry and a little sad. Also inspired by the story, we sorted colours, created our own monsters, roleplayed in ‘monster world and moved our bodies in different ways according to how we felt while listening to music.
