Throughout this half term we have been learning all about different Superheroes by reading, writing and acting out different scenes from our favourite stories. We have also learned about some real life superheroes such as Captain Tom Moore ,doctors and nurses, the police and many other amazing real life superheroes.
On Monday morning Miss McCarron and Miss Dwyer arrived to school to find that their class’ were not there and they had all been replaced by mini SUPERHEROES!!! Both teachers decided that they must have a day full of superhero activities.
Year 1 began their morning with a show and tell of their superhero costumes. They told everyone who they were and all about their special powers. We then had a superhero parade and did some dancing to superhero music, the children moved and danced how they thought their character would.
Throughout the day we completed different activities linked to our topic including making our own comic strips, writing character sketches, ordering superheroes by size and role-playing some of our stories. We had lots of superhero fun!
