During this term’s Governor Morning the Speak Out finalists presented speeches to our Governing Body. One Governor commented “We were so impressed with the confidence of all the speakers, some of whom didn’t use their scripts and were able to articulate their ideas clearly to the audience.” Here is a link to the Speak Out Challenge evening where 16 pupils from years 2 to 5 confidently spoke with music, choir and drama intervals. https://youtu.be/HLhtj29jYVc
Governors also spoke with pupils about Art, PE and Computing lessons across the school. One Governor comment about PE was “It was impressive to see that pupils had an idea of why they were doing certain activities and how to improve following effective teaching by the teacher.” An Art comment was “Beautiful artwork across the school and the children were so confident in talking about the materials and various artists.” Computing observations included “Children were learning how to develop products and make links with other subjects such as maths. The teacher regularly checked what students had remembered from previous work and connected it to the day’s lesson.”
