This week, children in Year 1 were given the task of sorting animals into different groups. They were given lots of images of animals and we discussed the different features of each.
Then, the children had to decide, as a table group, how they were going to sort the animals. Many children grouped the animals in ones that could fly, swim or live on land. We then discussed how amphibians, mammals, fish, birds, and reptiles are similar and different.
They collaborated together and discussed their findings! Amazing work everyone!
