This week Reception had a visit from the amazing Wonder Dome. They sat inside a giant dome and watched an immersive video about space, learning so many facts about space and our solar system. At the end they experiences what it would be like to take off in a rocket and the view they would have of Earth from a rocket.
Back in the classroom the children designed their own aliens using playdough and a range of art resources. They then used their phonics knowledge to write a sentence about their alien.
Outside the Reception children have been incredible problem solvers! A group of children wanted to get the water from the pump all the way to the mud kitchen. They worked together for 30 minutes using tubes and stands to make it reach. They changed their plan when it did not work and talked to each other about what to try next.
Two children led a Prayer and Liturgy service, having listened to Matthew 28:19 the children went into Nursery to share the Good news that Jesus loves them all.
