Ruby Class had the best morning at Pizza Express! We walked through Waterlow Park on our way to the restaurant and made it just in time! We were greeted by Richard and his team at Pizza Express. We found somewhere to sit and put on our aprons and hats ready to make our pizzas.
Richard showed us how to push the dough towards the edge of the tray to create the crust. We then spread delicious smelling tomato sauce over our pizza base. Next, it was time to sprinkle cheese over our pizzas. Our pizzas were ready to pop into the oven.
While we waited, each person was given a small amount of dough to explore. We made dough balls out of them and were amazed at how quickly they cooked – and how yummy they tasted! Some of the dough balls stuck together in the oven and PJ’s dough balls became “a giant snowman!”
We were treated to a glass of squash while our pizzas were being prepared. The smell of tasty pizza filled the air! Finally, it was time to get ready to head back to school carrying our boxes of freshly baked pizza.
Once at school, we tasted a slice each and have saved the rest for home. Here are some of the words we thought of to describe our pizzas….
“Cheesy” – Edo
“Delicious” – Evangeline
“Really, really good” – Malachi
“Yummy” – Sened
“Tasty” – Amber
