This week, we had lots of fun celebrating VE Day, a special day to remember all the brave people who helped protect our country. VE Day stands for Victory in Europe, and we learnt all about why it’s such an important day.
To celebrate, we decorated yummy cookies with red and blue icing and topped them with sprinkles. We also had fun colouring in crowns, and we even danced to some happy VE Day music. It was a wonderful way to bring history to life, and we all loved joining in with the songs and dances!
We have also been busy exploring the African Savanna. We’ve discovered lots of amazing facts about the different animals that live there, from lions and elephants to zebras and giraffes. We even created beautiful sunset scenes by painting watercolour backgrounds and then adding animal silhouettes using black pens and card.
