We are so excited about our new theme ‘Imagine’ The children have already been engaged with our new class role plays, a castle and an enchanted forest. They have been busy making up and acting out their own stories. The play ended up outside with children building a tree house to add to the enchanted forest!
We are thinking about how we can use the resources around up to make things. We have been reading ‘Stanley’s Stick’ this week so each child collected a stick to turn into whatever they wanted to. We had some wonderful creations including a panda, a boat and a magic stick.
We have also been using natural resources we collected in the woodland to make models and pictures in the playdough.
In math we have been using out lose parts to make more complex repeating patterns.
