Another exciting week in Reception continuing to learn about space. We have been using different resources to build our own rockets to then add to our space small world where we can create our own stories. We have also be really focused balancing space rocks and seeing how tall we can make the tower go. While learning about space the children have thought of some questions they want to learn answers to – such as why stars don’t have gravity and how long will it take to travel to the moon. Next week we will research these questions and find out the answers.
We were so lucky to be able to use a space project and see some real pictures of different planets and lay and watch the stars moving.
On Fridays we always welcome our grown ups to Stay and Play. We really enjoy showing our adults what we have been doing in school and sharing our new knowledge with them.
