The launch of the Jubilee Year has been an incredibly exciting time for Reception! We’ve been busy, along with the rest of the school, decorating our footprints and writing our hopes for the Jubilee Year on them. We also created our own version of the Jubilee Logo, which helped us explore and understand the deeper meaning behind it.
We drew maps to illustrate special journeys that are meaningful to us, we then made them look old by dipping them in tea, it was so exciting to see the paper change colour and dry hard.
We recreated the Jubilee Logo by making boats using a variety of materials and then added the four figures in the correct colours.
We went to the school Chapel and spent some time reflecting on our hopes for the year ahead for the world, our school and our families.
