Literacy: This week Reception had a very big visitor – Mr Big. He came into our classrooms and made a VERY BIG mess, we decided to make a trap to try and catch him. He sent us an apology letter and explained how he was very sad about the mess he made.
This week in maths we looked at capacity. We explored new language: ‘full, nearly full, half full/empty, nearly empty and empty’. We used plastic cups and beans to experiment.
Reception are becoming superstar writers! This week we learnt the sounds ‘ck, e, u and r’ and had lots of practise writing CVC words. We are so excited for our parents to come in and watch a phonics lesson next Friday!
