Reception children have had such an exciting few days starting with a special delivery to help us see into space. Each class was given a telescope to look into the sky with. We learnt how to close or cover one eye so that we could see through the other. After looking through the telescope we wrote about what we could see or what we might see at night.
We really wanted to experience what it might be like to look through a telescope at night. We were so excited to have a go using VR headsets to look at pictures of different planets and to see what the moon looks like close up. “I can’t touch the moon but I can see it” one child said, another commented “We felt like we were not in school, it was a magical place!”
We have also been learning more about how to program the Bee Bots we have in class. We now know to press the X to clear the instructions every time!
