What a fantastic way to end an amazing half term! We were very lucky to have a school trip on the last day of term, and what a day it was.
We visited Hampstead Heath for a mini-beast hunt and a picnic. After a short ride on the C11 bus to Parliament Hill, we began our adventure. The children had a wonderful time exploring and searching for minibeasts — we found woodlice, worms, slugs, bees, buttercups, and dandelions!
All that exploring worked up a big appetite, so we sat down together for a lovely picnic. After lunch, we headed into the playground for a fun run-around before making our way back to school.
On the way to the bus stop, we enjoyed some ice-lollies and we created beautiful nature bracelets using leaves and flowers we had collected.
This half term has been truly amazing as we’ve learnt all about animals and their habitats. We hope you all have a lovely break, and we look forward to seeing you in June!
