This week Reception were very lucky to be visited by a Guide Dog and her owner. Ava the guide dog sat calmly while the children learned about her important job. Ava helps her owner who is blind, the children closed their eyes to see what it is like to not be able to see anything. They thought about the dangers such as bumping into furniture and crossing the road. The children learnt that Ava has been trained when to stop at the road and how to know it is safe to cross. We were all very impressed!
Ava was a very friendly dog and everyone who wanted was allowed to pet her.
