This week the reception children have been learning all about fire fighters! We read the book ‘Topsy and Tim meet the Fire Fighters’ and learnt about all the important things fire fighters use to help save people. On Thursday we were lucky enough to have a visit from the firemen at Kentish Town Fire Station. They spoke to the children all about their important jobs and how they help people. The children were allowed to go inside of the fire engine and we even got to watch the fire fighters spray the hose!
In maths this week the children have been learning about repeated patterns, they worked hard to create ABAB patterns and then challenged themselves to create ABC and ABB patterns. We used natural resources, printing and flames to create our patterns.
We have also been enjoying the last of the sunshine, exploring outside and having fun in the water!
