This week Reception were so excited to have their first Environmental lesson of the year. They went outside to meet Mrs Sophia who talked to them about the seasons and how in Autumn the leaves are changing colour and falling of the trees. The children then found out that they would be planting bulbs that will grow into bluebells! They looked at the bulb and some thought it looked like a small onion! Mrs Sophia showed Reception how to dig a hole deep enough to put it in, making sure the bulb was nose up so that it will grow.
On Friday Reception had their first Stay and Play session; parents and carers are invited to join their child for a play in the classrooms and outside space to see what they have been learning about that week. This takes place every week and we look forward to having more grown ups join us next week.
