This week we have been learning all about Doctors and Nurses. We were so lucky to have a visit from the school Nurse who told us all about her job and how she can help us to be happy and healthy.
We then role played being a Nurse. We looked after our friends and toys! “Oh no, you need a bandage on your leg” one child told me, “I think I am poorly” another child told a nurse.
Even the rain cannot stop our fun! While outside a group of children started to line up different resources in the rain, when asked why they were doing this one reply “We want to see what one will fill up quickest”. We talked about what one we thought would fill up first and why. After 10 minutes we went back and were very surprised to see the truck had the most water. What a fantastic experiment.
We finished our week with our Phonics workshop. It was lovely to show parents and carers how amazing Reception are at phonics already!
