Reception has had an exciting start to the new term! This half term, our topic is Exploring Space, and we kicked it off with a surprise on Monday – when we returned from lunch, we discovered a rocket had crash-landed right on our classroom carpet! Blob the alien had crash his rocket in our classroom and left us his babies to look after! He left us lots of missions to help them get home. This included designing our own planets, learning how to be astronauts and building our own rockets. 
We learnt how to draw a rocket and then carefully painted it. We are so impressed with our rocket art work!
This week has bee freezing! We have loved exploring ice every day this week and trying lots of different ways to break it. Our hands did get cold so we only played in the ice for a few minutes at a time.
