This week in Reception we have begun our new key text, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ We have been learning the story with actions, using a story map to help us. The children also planted their own beans this week in jam jars. Each day the children have been observing the changes taking place with their bean and watching them start to grow. In maths we have been further consolidating our counting, number recognition, one to one correspondence and finding 1 more and 1 less. Finally, in RE we learnt about Jesus’ resurrection and the children made some amazing models of the tomb.
On Friday the children had lots of fun taking part in the sponsored bounce. Thank you to everyone who helped raise money for our school fund.
