Yet another busy week has flown by in Year 6! This week the children had the opportunity to go into the school kitchen for a lesson in cookery. The children used their chopping skills to serve a delicious Caribbean salad – yum! Having made the dish, it was only right that they were able to sample it – rave reviews all round!
On Wednesday, we made our way into the tree house for a lesson with Sophia, our environmental teacher. The children discussed why plants are an important part of the environment we live in and how they are critical for humans to live. The children then planted their own sunflower seeds and will monitor their growth in the coming weeks and months. It was brilliant to see Sophia again and to see the children so engrossed when talking about the environment!
