This week in Pre-Nursery the children were excited about going on their very first trip out of school. They put on the high-vis jackets and walked through the big playground and made our way to Waterlow Park. The children along with some of their parents looked for different colours around the park as part of our theme ‘Colours’
The children spotted lots of colours and loads of signs that Spring has arrived. We saw flowers blooming, leaves sprouting on trees and the ducks happily swimming on the pond.
In Religion the children learnt all about how Jesus died on the cross but something special happened and he was given new life. The children learnt that we celebrate Easter to remind us of the new life that Jesus was given and how we use eggs to represent that new life. The children decorated their own eggs and also tried a Hot Cross Bun at snack time. We also learnt how Jesus wants us to ‘Love God and Everyone.’ The children decorated hearts and spoke about who they loved.
It has been a busy and wonderful term.
Happy Easter Everyone!
