This week we have been busy exploring the colour ‘Green’ through all learning areas.
The children have been creating their own caterpillars using strips of paper to create a green paper chain. The children then created a face for their creations. On Monday for our St Patricks Day celebrations we used collage materials to create our green shamrocks.
In the Tuff tray this week we have been exploring a new painting method. We have used cars of different sizes instead of paint brushes and the children have enjoyed rolling the cars through the paint to create tyre tracks around the tuff tray. The children noticed that as they were driving their cars around, the paint colours were mixing and they were creating new colours.
In Opal Class we were experimenting with green Oobleck and discovering its different properties through sensory play.
Children have enjoyed the sunshine this week and in Little Gems children have been dancing and practicing their basketball skills
