This week has been another fun filled week in Reception. It has been great to see the children enjoying their learning environments and getting to know their new friends.
In Reception this week we started learning phonics and we learnt the sounds and letters, ‘s’ ‘a’ ‘t’ and ‘p’. We have been learning the sounds that each of these letters make and how to correctly form these letters. We have been practising writing these new letters and mark making in all areas of the classroom. We’re sure the children would love to teach you the sounds they have learnt and how they write them.
Next week will be Reception’s first Stay and Play on Friday (28th September). This is a great opportunity to see your child’s learning environment and explore it with them. We look forward to seeing you then.
