We have had an amazing week in Year 2 and had so much fun learning in the great outdoors beyond our classrooms!
In Maths, we began our learning of 2-D shapes with an outdoor shape hunt! We had a fantastic time searching for different 2-D shapes that we could spot in the playground, near the treehouse and by the woodlands.
It helped us to see how the world around us is filled with so many different shapes that we never noticed before!
In Science, we ventured out to our school pond to observe the frogspawn and tadpoles! It really brought to life our learning of the different life stages of a frog.
In Religion, we reflected on the meaning of Easter Sunday and how God gave Jesus new life. We then explored our outside surroundings for any signs of new life that we could find and we discovered new flowers in bloom and the new life of the frogspawn in the pond!
It helped us to understand how there is new life and God’s presence in the world around us always.
