Year 3 have been very busy sketching and painting death masks today. The children followed step-by-step instructions on how to sketch and paint the masks.
The Ancient Egyptian death masks were used to cover the face of mummies and ensure that the spirit of the dead person was able to recognize the body. Royal death masks or burial masks, such as the fabulous Golden Death Mask of Tutankhamun, King Tut, were made of gold in the image of the deceased
We also had an amazing time during our pancake races on Shrove Tuesday! You can see a video of your class on your Seesaw account.
Green Class also delivered an amazing prayer services on Wednesday, where they hung their Lenten promises onto our tree. Thank you to all of the parents who came, it makes it so special for the children!
