Nursery have really been enjoying the warm weather this week – especially when playing with water outside! Our key text was ‘The enormous turnip’ and we had lots of fun finding number turnips buried in the classroom and putting them in order. We sequenced and acted out the story with masks, and enjoyed drawing and painting them.
We made healthy vegetables out of playdough, and made our own vegetable art portraits with real vegetables. We were allowed to eat them afterwards!
We had a wonderful surprise visit from a Bantam chick and discovered how it was different from our school chickens. The finale of the week was the spectacular Father’s Day
picnic. Thanks to all that participated and contributed to this lovely event!
