This week Nursery were all super excited about going on their very first school trip. The children put on the hi-vis jackets and lined up holding hands with their partner. Next stop was to meet the parents outside. We then left and began our walk up Highgate Hill looking at the different houses on the opposite side of the road. We continued walking up the hill stopping at St Joseph’s Church were we looked at the different features before taking a big group photo.
We then crossed the road, making sure to wait for the green man and made our way up to Lauderdale House. Some of the children stopped to explore the texture of the wall. The children also explored the different stones on the floor as part of the pathway.
We went and looked at the fountain and the children spotted a small bug on the floor. We walked through the park exploring the different trees and shrubs as we made our way back to school.
