Nursery have spent their final week of the term enjoying all sorts of magical Christmas celebrations. On Monday our elf gave us some very special tickets for The Polar Express! We had our tickets stamped and had a lovely time watching the film in the hall – and getting cosy in our pyjamas with some hot chocolate.
After that we had our fantastic reindeer dash to help raise money for charity. We did some amazing racing and had lots of fun.
No sooner had we come back to the classroom when we had a very, very special visitor: Santa no less! He gave us a special present of a bell from his sleigh.
On Monday afternoon we had our exciting EYFS Christmas party. First we ate some delicious party food and afterwards we had a dance, watched a film or did some Christmas arts and crafts.
On Tuesday we had our drama workshop with Freshwater Theatre Company. We used drama to act out several Christmas stories with our facilitator, Amber. We went on a story hunt adventure together; looking for clues to help us act out stories such as ‘The Snowman’ and ‘The Grinch’. We also found out about how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world.
It was also our Christmas Jumper Day. We arrived in a wide range of beautiful jumpers, and later showed them off whilst we had our lovely Christmas lunch in the hall. What a wonderful, fun-packed couple of days!
