This week in Nursery we have been learning about farm animals. We read ‘Mrs. Wishy Washy’ then later read ‘Mrs.Wishy Washy’s Farm and compared them. We made some fabulous farm animal collages and discussed what we know about them. In maths we counted some animals on a farm and learnt how to make a simple tally chart to record our counting. Some of us even had a go at writing numerals and we learnt some rhymes to help us remember how to write them. On our maths table we matched amounts of animals with numerals, and talked about our favourite farm animals on the small world table.
In our Funky Fingers area we had a challenge! The animals were all tied up with elastic bands or foil and we had to rescue and free them? We also had fun making farm animals on the playdough table. Pearl Class have had a wonderful time being vets. nurses or animals in our vets role-play area, and White Class have been learning all about what we do in their amazing pet shop.
